This event is a merging of two separate celebrations, we offer this platform that educates our people on the tremendous value of relationships, marriage and the significance of family development. Akoma Day is a Universal Love Holiday that was created by both Montsho & Nwasha Edu founders of the Akoma House Initiative in Trenton, New Jersey. Which is a week long celebration from February 14 through the 20th as a cultural alternative to Valentine's Day. Black Love Day which was founded by Mama Ayo Handi Kendi and is observed on February 13 is currently the third nationally commemorated African American holiday.
